Students: Week of Nov. 28, 2022

by Daryl Donovan on November 28, 2022

Hey OSM Families,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! I am thankful for each of you! I'm excited about coming back together this Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. as we turn our focus to Advent.

Advent means, “the coming.” It is the season we celebrate God’s Son coming into the world to save us from our sin! "God so loved the world, He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

This week, for worship, I will be leading us in my favorite Christmas carol (any guesses?), and then we will watch a video about Christmas that I know you will enjoy! (There will be a Christmas Contest with some really cool prizes!)

Here are some discussion questions for our small group time:

  1. Why does it matter that followers of Jesus know the true story of Christmas?
  2. How does Santa, elves and reindeer fit in the Christmas story?
  3. How can we live out the truth of Christmas at home, school, or wherever we go?

See you Wednesday night!

This week we will be going over the fourth lesson, "FAITH: How Can We Have Faith?" We will be continuing on this series into next year. Thanks and let me know if you have questions.
