Community Partnerships

Connected to our community

It is a privilege and our calling to serve those in our community. All Oakwood community partnership events can be found on the events page as they happen.

For more information about these opportunities, email .

American Red Cross

American Red Cross volunteers and staff work to deliver vital services. Oakwood hosts regular blood drives to provide a vital resource to our community and beyond.

Exploit No More

Exploit No More (ENM) exists to empower Milwaukee’s children to rise out of sex trafficking. Its goal is to lend voices to children who have been sold for sex, to mobilize our community to do something about it, and to provide long-term residential aftercare to children freed from the chains of commercial sexual exploitation. Oakwood Church partners with ENM through prayer, advocacy, and financial support. To join Oakwood's prayer or advocacy team, contact Debby Rowe.

Family Promise

Family Promise of Western Waukesha County was developed to provide a collaborative effort linking many churches in our community with other support services to assist local homeless children and their families in their own efforts towards self-sufficiency.  Family Promise provides a cost-effective way to offer hospitality, providing overnight shelter, meals, and support services to these families facing a housing crisis, while transitioning them into permanent housing and sustainable independence.

HeartLove Place

HeartLove Place (HLP) is a nonprofit ministry located in the heart of Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood. Founded on the principles of Christian values, HLP provides programs and services to meet the needs of the community through its Family Resource Center, Adult ProStart Culinary & Job Readiness Program, and Food Services.  It is through these program areas that we help empower, develop spiritual growth, and motivate families in order to strengthen our community.

Milwaukee House of Prayer

The Milwaukee House of Prayer exists to encourage and equip people to go from monologue to dialogue with God. Prayer is really important to Oakwood and we enjoy supporting this local organization that accomplishes our mission, too.

Shepherds College

Oakwood supports Shepherds College in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Shepherds College inspires a lasting awareness of God's plan for the lives of its post-secondary students who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. They gain vocational, social, and live skills through education and training.

Waukesha Food Pantry

Oakwood hosts occasional food drives for the Waukesha Food Pantry, providing nutrition to those in need in our area.
