It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!
I love advent season! We are so vividly reminded of God’s grace and love as we celebrate centuries of prophecies being fulfilled in the coming of God’s Son, JESUS, IMMANUEL!
As we continue to celebrate the Advent Season, we will dig even deeper into the Christmas story this Wednesday evening. Here are some discussion questions for our small group time:
- Why do you think God would have the Savior of the World be born to a young, unmarried virgin girl from a small town?
- What does this story tell us about Joseph?
- Have you ever had an encounter with an angel, or heard of someone who has? What does it mean that the angel came to Joseph in a dream?
- What was the role of the Holy Spirit in the Christmas Story?
- What does the name Jesus mean? What does it mean that he will save his people from their sins?
- What does Immanuel mean? Why is important to know Jesus as Immanuel?
- Why is it important that the birth of Jesus was foretold by a prophet? What prophet? When?
- When did the Wise Men show up to present gifts to Jesus?
- How do we help people experience Jesus as Immanuel?
- What gifts can we present to Jesus?
