Wednesday Night Update

Dear OSM Parents,

Thank you for your continued support of OSM! It's so fun to connect with your kids each Wednesday night and study God's word together. We are finishing up the book of Ruth this week and will be heavily focused on the idea of redemption. Boaz is a type of Christ, and we can learn so much about what it means to be redeemed from the interactions between Boaz and Ruth and all the other major players in this story. This week our volunteers will be sharing their own redemption stories: how Jesus stepped into our lives and restored us to relationship with God. It might be a good week for you to share your own story of redemption with your family!

Have a wonderful week,

Kim Irish

Sunday Morning Update

Hello Parents,

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of spending some time with Rachel Balia, our Global Partner in the Congo, and Mama Francois, her friend and associate. The stories they shared have certainly stuck with me into the week and I am thankful for the opportunity to hear from them. This coming Sunday we are going to jump back into The Thread curriculum. We will be looking at Noah and how his story foreshadows Jesus. Here is a parent letter discussing what we are looking at this week.

In other news, remember that Middle School Camp sign up ends on Sunday. Reach out at if you have questions or if the cost is obstructing the trip.

Looking forward, mark your calendars for Nov. 10 for "Board, not Bored, Game Night" and Friday, Nov. 17, when Amanda Penebaker is hosting Friends-giving at her home. MS and HS students are welcome at both.

Thanks and have a great week,

Chris Schmidt
