This Sunday: Israel Forgets the Lord
This Sunday, we step into Judges 3, where Israel, having finally entered the Promised Land, breaks their promise to serve the Lord. Instead of reflecting His character, they adopt the ways of the surrounding nations, turning to false gods. Their sin leads them into servitude—until, in His mercy, God raises up a deliverer from among them.
This week, students will be challenged to see how our lives today aren’t so different. We are easily shaped by the people around us, for better or worse. But even when we allow the world’s influence to pull us away from God and find ourselves captive to sin, He provided the ultimate Deliverer—Jesus.
I encourage you to talk with your students this week about the influences in their lives—both those they follow and those they exert on others. Consider sharing a time when you experienced the power of influence, whether positive or negative.
As always, here are the Family Connection Page and Daily Devotional Guide.
Wednesday Night Community
We’re back this week for week 3 of our series, "Overboard," diving into Jonah 3. Here are a couple of key takeaways from this week’s message:
- God is merciful when we repent.
- True repentance requires real action.
Students will be challenged to reflect on whether their lives truly show repentance. Do they stand out from the world as people who live changed lives? Are they willing to extend mercy and forgiveness to others, recognizing how much they have been forgiven?
Looking forward to a great night together!
Nerf Wars – Friday, April 11
Get ready for an epic night! On Friday, April 11, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., OSM is hosting a Nerf War! If your student has a Nerf device, they’re encouraged to bring it—but if not, no worries! We’ll have Nerf guns and darts available. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and students are encouraged to bring as many friends as possible. Let’s fill the space and make this an unforgettable night!
Middle School Gatherings
The next middle school gathering at the Feder’s is happening this Friday, April 4, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for our middle school students to build relationships, have fun, and ask great spiritual questions. Food and snacks will be provided.
Join the Worship Team!
This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!
Calling All Singers: Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me. We’d love to have them join the team!
Musicians Welcome: We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
