Students: Week of Jan. 20, 2025

by Caleb Garnett on January 20, 2025

This Sunday: Worship at the Tabernacle

We’ll continue exploring the life of Moses as we dive into Leviticus 16 and discuss worship at the tabernacle. Even though Israel faced the problem of sin separating them from a holy God, His love made a way for them to come into His presence. Through the sacrificial system and the Day of Atonement, God provided a way for Israel to atone for their sins through the blood of an unblemished sacrifice.

This foreshadows what would happen thousands of years later when Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice, paying the price for sin once and for all. Students will be encouraged to see how, even in the book of Leviticus, the entire Bible points to Jesus.

The Family Connection Page is here. We encourage you to use the discussion questions to spark meaningful conversations with your student at home!

Wednesday Night Community: Life in Six Words

Join us on Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8 p.m.! We’re kicking off the new year with an exciting teaching series titled “Life in Six Words.” This series, based on a resource from Dare 2 Share Ministries, is all about equipping students to share the gospel of Jesus with their peers.

In our second session, we’ll dive into the truth that our sin separates us from God. Without Jesus, we are spiritually dead and without hope. But because of His sacrifice, none of us have to stay that way—He offers abundant life to all who believe. This is the best news for a world in desperate need of hope!

Students will be challenged and equipped to have gospel conversations with their friends and peers this week. Join us in praying for God to do mighty things in Lake Country through your students this year!

Join the Worship Team!

This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!

Calling All Singers:
Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me at  . We’d love to have them join the team!

Musicians Welcome:
We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.

Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
