AWESOME TIME IN GREEN BAY AT DISTRICTS

26 students and 10 adult leaders shared in a life-changing time together at Districts this past weekend. Ask any of them to share what they learned - they would love to tell you! A special thanks to our 10 leaders who served this weekend… sleep deprived, but enthusiastic!

Wednesday Night Update
Hey Parents,

OSM Wednesday nights begins again this Wednesday. Oakwood's team of volunteers is excited to begin and to journey alongside your students as we seek to glorify God in all that we do. The focus for the next several weeks is going to be on exploring what Jesus taught through various parables, as well as several of the different attributes of God. I am trusting that the Holy Spirit will lead volunteers and youth to grow in character, understanding, and love for one another and for God.

Reach out to me via email or by calling the front office if any of you have questions about the study or what your children are learning; or if you are interested in volunteering! (We could use a few more weekly volunteers to add to our numbers!)

This week, the attribute of God being studied will be God's faithfulness and the parable is that of the sower and the soil. Your children will have a chance to learn what Jesus was teaching through this parable (it is one of the parables that is explained to the disciples), and how they can build on this idea for their own life. They will have the opportunity to see how God is faithful to produce life.

Thank you for trusting us with a part of your student's spiritual growth and understanding of Christ and the Gospel. It is something that is of paramount importance to the health of Oakwood and the larger Christian community!

Sunday Morning Update
Hello parents,
I hope all of you who went or had kids go to Districts have had an opportunity to get some rest upon your return. This week, we will continue the Alpha Series and will be covering the topic of evil. Please see the notes linked here on this week's topic, as well as the video linked below.

Thanks,

Chris Schmidt
