Students: Week of April 14, 2025

by Caleb Garnett on April 14, 2025

This Sunday: No Student Programming

There is no programming this week for Easter Sunday. Enjoy worshiping together as a family at either the 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. worship service. He is risen!

Wednesday Night Community

This week, we’re excited to welcome a special guest speaker! Nathan Sarangan, a senior at Ethnos 360 Bible Institute and a member of our Oakwood worship team, will be sharing with our students about what it means to abide in Christ. Throughout the past month, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Nathan and hearing his heart for the Lord. I’m confident our students will be encouraged and challenged by what he shares.

Holy Week Reading Plan

I wanted to share this awesome resource for you and your students—a Holy Week reading plan that walks through the final week of Jesus’ life. It pulls from all four gospel accounts to give a full, rich picture of the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection. It’s a great way to reflect together as a family during this meaningful week.

Middle School Gatherings

The next middle school gathering at the Feder’s is happening this Friday, May 2, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for our middle school students to build relationships, have fun, and ask great spiritual questions. Food and snacks will be provided.

Good Friday

Join us this Friday at 6 p.m. for our Soup + Bread Dinner, followed by our Good Friday service at 7 p.m. This will be a chance for us to reflect on what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross.

High School Movie Night

High school students are invited to a movie night on May 9 at the home of Joe and Sarah Burbey! We’ll be watching Unsung Hero and enjoying popcorn, candy, and soda—all provided. Come hang out, relax, and have a great time with friends. We can’t wait to see you there!

Survivor Night

Middle school students—get ready for an epic night of competition and fun! Join us on May 16 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. for our annual Survivor Night. Students will team up with their tribe to take on a variety of challenges, from athletic contests to brain teasers. The winning team will walk away with an awesome prize! Snacks and drinks will be provided. Don’t miss it—we’ll see you there!

Join the Worship Team!

This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!

Calling All Singers: Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me. We’d love to have them join the team!

Musicians Welcome: We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.

Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
