Kids put the parable of the good Samaritan into action last week with the Mathisons. They made cookies and a kind banner for the staff. Check out the pictures on the Family Life Facebook page.
This week's Bible Cookie is a fudge striped cookie. Not only are these cookies great for making smores, but they will also teach kids about the parable of the three servants. These cookies have three key parts – fudge bottom, cookie, and stripes, and they would not be the same if one part was missing. Similarly, the parable teaches us that no matter what gifts God’s gives us, He wasn't us to use them for His kingdom.

Genesis 22 has a heart wrenching story where Abraham was willing to give his only son for God, but God provided another way. God was willing to give His only Son for us. Jesus knew there was no other way to save God’s people, so He died and rose again to provide them with forgiveness and life with God forever.
