Kids: Week of Jan. 9, 2023

Hello Fellow Oakwood Families-

Here is what is happing this week:

Sunday, Jan. 15
9 a.m. programming will continue to teach kids about Daniel using the Gospel Project curriculum.

Through Feb. 26, Kids Ministry offering will go towards craft and game supplies to be taken to Nepal. A team, including our own Miss Shirley, her husband Dave, and Miss Jeanene’s son, Nathan, will be offering Bible lessons, games and crafts to a group of missionary kids while their parents are in language training workshops! Kids will be bringing home a small pencil pouch to remind and encourage kids to pray for and earn offering.

Wednesday, Jan. 18 
Wednesday Night Community resumes! Kids in 3K-5th grade will be learning about the attributes of God through large group, small group, worship, discussion, games and crafts. This first week, Mr. Mark will teach about how God is eternal. This is a concept we cannot fully understand, but we hope to show the children how God differs from us in this way.

More About Ashley

Ashley is often on the go! She’s a mom to two busy kids and a high energy dog, she volunteers with her kids’ Parent Teacher Organization, and she enjoys hosting family dinners on Sundays. While the quiet at her family’s cabin draws her to northern Wisconsin often, she likes to travel and see God’s creation with her husband and kiddos. In her spare time (what’s that?!), Ashley enjoys baking and cake decorating, and learning new photography skills. Of course, a good cup of coffee fuels all of this activity and fun!
