This week, kids will be learning about the life of Job. In his suffering, Job recognized that God is all-powerful and good. When we face suffering, we can hope in God. God sent Jesus, the only truly innocent One, to suffer and die so that everyone who trusts in Him can have forgiveness and eternal life.

Kids Sing for Christmas

On Sunday, Dec. 15, kids will be singing during the worship service for Christmas at 9 and 10:30 a.m. If you attend the 9 a.m. worship service, we’d appreciate it if you’d allow your kid(s) to stay until approximately 10:45 a.m. to sing in the 10:30 a.m. service, too.

Christmas Resources

The Mobile Christmas Library is back! Stop by the display at the Kids Ministry Desk to borrow some kids Christmas books, movies, or music. Return items to the display or Oakwood’s first-floor library.  

Offering Project 

Kids are giving toward the church-wide Christmas Giving project, collecting money for Royal Family Kids Camp and Global Fingerprints. This week kids gave $16!

Upcoming 
  • Saturday, Dec. 14 | Reverse Caroling 
    • Connect with Margaret Fiedler or David Smith if your child would like to sing at this event. Kids will have a 75-minute “shift” and will be singing Jingle Bells and Oh What a Glorius Night. All parents are encouraged to join us, but kids under 2nd grade need to have a parent stay with during the event. 
  • Sunday, Dec. 15 | Kids sing in church

 

Miss Ashley Update

As many of you may have heard, Miss Ashley has been in the hospital dealing with an illness. Please continue to pray for speedy healing and recovery.
