9th-12th grade: Week of May 15, 2022

by Myles Hanson on May 17, 2022

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great start to the week!

MAY 18 | 8-8:45 PM

Wednesday night is the next piece of Bible study with Elyse! They're moving into the book of James for the last couple times they're meeting before summer starts. They meet from 8:00 - 8:45pm and will meet in the High School Room unless the weather is beautiful; then they'll move to the fire pit and do study around the fire.

MAY 22 | 9-10 AM

Sunday morning we're going to have our last discussion about "God-With-Us" experiences with Nate! He's back to lead discussion around inviting our non-Christian friends and family to follow Jesus as well as invite those who are following Jesus to do this faith journey we're on together. We're going to challenge our students, at the end of the hour, to name a friend or family member they'd like to do some faith journey with over the summer, make sure to ask your student who that person is!

MAY 22 | 6:30-8 PM

Sunday night is our last Sunday night together before Nicole and I move to Minnesota. We're going to end the school year looking at what it means to be charitable and some of the lies in our pop culture. This is going to be a fun conversation and I'm looking forward to "pulling back the curtain" to what some of our favorite brands do when it comes to giving to others.

MAY 29 | JUNE 5

Just a reminder that there is no student programming on May 29th or June 15th. The 29th is Memorial Day weekend and will worship together at the one 9 a.m. church service. And the 5th is Grad Sunday, all students will attend "big church" together at 9am to celebrate our grads!

JUNE 1 | 6:30 PM

One last key date for both middle and high school groups is June 1st. We're going to do a bonfire to celebrate our 8th grade and senior classes and their finishing of their current phase of school life. We'll also celebrate students who have accomplished goals over the school year. This will happen from 6:30 - 7:45ish and then, from 7:45 - 8:30, we're inviting the entire church to come celebrate Nicole and I as well as reminisce and tell stories. We'll also have some desserts and enjoy one last shindig together. I'd love to have you and your whole family there. RSVP HERE.

And that's everything for the school year! Please let me know if you have any questions or wanna chat about anything!
