Family Promise of Waukesha County, our Community Partner, needs our help! They have three opportunities to serve. Check out each opportunity below and respond according to each need as you're able.
Serve Meals at the Winter Emergency Overflow Shelter
What: Serve meals to guests
When: Jan. 17, 28, Feb. 16, and 27 from 4:45 - 6:30 p.m.
Where: Winter Emergency Overflow Shelter | 1210 Sentry Dr., Waukesha
Support Families at the Day Center
What: Help families with job or housing applications, play games/do art projects with children, help parents at lunch time, etc.
When: Oakwood is committed to several dates in January, February, and March .
Requirements: flexibility, patience, willingness to adapt, enjoys working with children, judgement free, strong personal boundaries. There is a short training and a criminal background check is required.

Supporting Families in the Oconomowoc Apartment
What: Family Promise has secured an apartment in Oconomowoc for families who are experiencing homelessness. Support could include making meals and dropping them off, activities or projects with kids, cleaning the apartment between families, etc.
When: There are currently no families at the apartment, so this is an as-needed commitment.
