Week of July 12, 2021 | 9th - 12th Grade

by Myles Hanson on July 07, 2021

Hey families!

JULY 18 | 9AM
This Sunday we're back for our Bible study through the 'I am' statements of Jesus in the book of John! We're over halfway through the 7 statements talking through what these statements from 2000 years ago mean for us today. We've also been doing an art project together illustrating those 'I am" statements into a special combo art piece that they'll see in a few weeks. This week we'll be looking at John 14 where Jesus tells us He's "the way, the truth, and the life". Be sure to ask your student about their findings after this week!

JULY 28 | ALL DAY

If you have a Junior or Senior from the 2020 - 2021 school year, I'd like to invite them to go on a day long canoe trip with me! We're going to paddle the Wisconsin River on July 28th, leaving Oakwood around 7:45am. It's $30 for the trip and that'll cover all the equipment use and transportation. Your student will just need to bring a water bottle and a lunch in a ziplock bag! Please sign up here by July 17!
JULY 30 | 6:30 PM
Based on the CBS competitive reality show The Amazing Race. Six teams of 3-6 men (ages high school and up) will compete. The cost is $20/team (includes supplies and refreshments). Questions? Contact Scott EllisSign up here.
JULY 31 | 6PM
On July 31st we will be doing a full family event at the Wilhelm home! From 6:00 - 9:00pm we'll be doing a grill out with yard games, pool time, and families of our middle and high schoolers to meet! Your family is invited, along with the middle schoolers, to join in the fun, meet some new people, and enjoy good food! All we ask if you bring a snack or drink to share with others. You can sign up for this event here.

That'll do it for this week! Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll get back to you.
