Kids: Week of Sept. 30, 2024

by Ashley Schmidt on September 30, 2024

Wednesday, Oct. 2

Come enjoy a fun-filled night together as we wrap up Jonah. Jonah 4 will teach kids that God wants us to serve others around us (even though Jonah was angry).

Sunday, Oct. 6

Kids will be in Genesis 11 learning about when the People ignored God’s plan and tried to make a name for themselves, so God confused their language and scattered the people all over the earth. One day, Jesus will gather all of God’s people and they will worship Him. Scan the QR code on your child’s take home sheet for some ways to incorporate the lesson at home.

Fire Safety

October is Fire Safety month. Volunteers will be refreshed on Oakwood’s policies and procedures in the event of a fire. Parents, in the event of a fire, please DO NOT go to your child’s classroom to collect them. Their leaders will already be en route to our meeting area. All children, birth-high school, gather on the blacktop near the playground. Once there, volunteers will do a final headcount before dismissing kids to their parents using the tag system, or returning to the classroom if it is safe.

Healthy Kids Guidelines

Ready or not it's time to “unwelcome” cold and flu season. Please take a glance at our guidelines below and help keep our church family healthy.
