Kids: Week of Sept. 23, 2024

by Ashley Schmidt on September 23, 2024

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Psalm 25:4 was our theme verse two summers ago at camp and it applies so well to our studies on Jonah - “Show me your ways Lord, teach me your path.” This week as we learn about Jonah going to Ninevah, despite him not liking the Ninevites, we will be reminded that God’s plan is always better than our own.

Sunday, Sept. 29

First let’s look back at last week’s Bible Sunday. Check out some pictures at Oakwood's Family Life Facebook page.

This week kids will learn about the “classic story” of Noah and the great flood. God rescued Noah and his family just like Jesus can rescue us if we choose to trust in Him. I encourage you to check out more family resources using the QR code on your child's take-home sheet. If you really want to dig deeper, consider a trip to Kentucky to visit the Creation Museaum and The Ark Encounter. We went when our daughter was 5-years-old and would love to return again soon for a new-age perspective.

Offering Update

Our fall offering project is for Operation Christmas Child and our goal is $400 to cover shipping 40 boxes of gifts and the gospel to kids in need around the world.
