9th - 12th grade: Week of Jan. 10, 2022

by Myles Hanson on January 12, 2022

Hey families!
JAN 12 | 8-8:45 PM
Wednesday night is a busy night for many of our students, finals is this week. Please be praying for our students as they walk through the stress and anxiety of test taking and studying. I'll be leading a Bible study for any students who'd like to from 8:00 - 8:45pm. I'll meet them in the high school room!
JAN 16 | 9 AM
Sunday morning is Pastor Roger's last day at Oakwood. We're excited for his next phase of life through retirement and want to celebrate him and all God has done through him. So we're going to take a week off of Sunday morning programming and be a part of the 9am celebration service together. If your student would like to sit with Nicole and I, we'll have a row of chairs available for students! See your student there and be sure to say thanks to Roger this Sunday.

JAN 16 | 6:30 - 8 PM
Sunday night we're going to start a discussion on the mystery of the Gospel. We're going to talk about how awesome God is and see how Romans 1:20 affects us and our friends and family with their interaction with the Gospel. It's going to be a great month of understanding Jesus' greatest gift to us. I'll see the students in the High School room from 6:30 - 8:00!

FEB 18-20
And we're going on Winter Retreat this February! We're going to team up with another church at Camp Awana (just north of Oakwood about 30 minutes) for winter activities and fun, great worship and chapel, and meeting new friends. I'd love to have your student join us for this great opportunity! Watch for more details.

And that's everything for now! Please let me know if you have any questions about things coming up. See you soon!
