HEre for you

The care you need when grief intersects your journey

Grief

After the funeral, when the cards and flowers stop coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you may feel alone.

Grief Ministry Team

Our Grief Ministry Team is prepared to help you when grief affects your life and faith journey. We offer several opportunities for support.

Griefshare support groups

You don't have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your grief. Caring people from Oakwood who have experienced grief themselves host this support group, and you can walk together through one of life's most difficult experiences. GriefShare is for adults over 18 who need help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Keep an eye on our events calendar for the latest GriefShare group gathering.

Journeying through grief

Our Grief Ministry Team provides Journeying Through Grief , a series of four short books to help people navigate four crucial times during the first year after losing a loved one.
