Kids Ministry

Oakwood’s Kids Ministry partners with families to help children love God and love others. We believe that teaching kids who God is and how much He loves them starts at home. We then support families in disciplemaking by presenting God’s Word through creative, learner-based biblical instruction, and real-life applications.

Sundays at Oakwood

Each Sunday at 9 a.m., parents can check-in and drop off their kids on the Upper Level at Oakwood. This ministry year, volunteer leaders will be guiding kids through The Gospel Project curriculum. Through play, art, music and more, kids will learn that the big story of the Bible is more than a story - it's good news that can be lived out and shared!

Beginning in January, Oakwood will offer Kids Ministry programming during the 10:30 a.m. service for kids 4 and younger. It will be the same curriculum message that was shared at 9 a.m., but it will be presented in a new way.

Wednesdays at Oakwood

Programming is available for kids preschool - 5th grade from fall through the spring. Each week, we’ll provide a fun, interactive learning environment with games, songs, and opportunities to discover how to follow Jesus together. We’ll laugh and grow as disciples as we see and hear the stories of Scripture unfold before our eyes! 

Fruit of the Spirit Jan 14 - March 4 The tree doesn't TRY to grow fruit; it grows naturally as long as the tree has plenty of water and sunlight. The tree spends it’s time trying to reach down for water and reach up for sunlight and the fruit comes as a result. In the same way, when we focus on trusting in God and filling our mind and heart with God’s Word, the fruit of the Spirit will start to naturally be seen in our life.

Ways to connect

	In Person - Join us each Sunday morning at Oakwood at 9 a.m. for kids programming. We have a nursery (birth - 2-years-old) and programming (3K - 5th grade). We do have one service Sundays near the Independence Day, the week between Christmas and New Year's, and during Family Month (Aug. 3 - 31) when we have childcare for kids 4 and younger.

	Summer Camp - This summer, kids will explore the nature of God! Join us for the "Rainforest Fall" Summer Kids Day Camp at Oakwood on July 29.
