Students: Week of March 16, 2026

by Caleb Garnett on March 16, 2026

This Sunday - The Triumphal Entry

For the next two weeks, we will be taking a break from our regular journey through the Bible to look at the Easter story. This week we will be focusing on Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem from Luke 19.

Wednesday Night Community

We are in the second week of the new series called, "The Last Words of Jesus." Throughout the series, we'll look at three stories that recount the final words Jesus offered before His crucifixion, and one where Jesus shared Hi final instructions to His disciples (and us!) before ascending into Heaven.

Series Overview

This four-week series challenges students to ask themselves how they might apply the last words of Jesus to their lives today.

Session 2: "Father, Forgive Them"

Big Idea: Through His suffering, Jesus offers forgiveness

Question for Discussion: What do you think is more difficult for you personally: asking for forgiveness or forgiving someone else? Why do you think that's more difficult for you?

Lake Country Throwdown

We are excited to team up with Lake Country Youth Collective to bring you the Lake Country Throwdown! This is a dodgeball tournament open to all students in grades 6-12. Gather your team and register here. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed team and, of course, our champions! Food will also be provided, along with alternative games and entertainment for those who don't want to play dodgeball.

When: April 10, 6 - 9 p.m.

Where: Oakwood Church

Day of Global Youth Evangelism - THIS SATURDAY!

On March 21, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., we will be gathering at Oakwood for evangelism training. This is a video training from Dare 2 Share ministries. Students will hear from guest speakers and will get the chance to practice sharing the gospel. I encourage every student to attend and learn how to effectively share the Good News of Jesus with their peers. Donuts and drinks will be provided.

No Middle School Gathering

There will be no Middle School Gathering in April due to it falling on Good Friday. Come join us at Oakwood for our annual Soup + Bread Dinner instead.
