This Sunday: Saul Disobeys
This Sunday we are in 1 Samuel 13, where Israel’s first king, Saul, makes a fateful mistake. Instead of listening to Samuel and waiting for him to come offer a sacrifice to God, Saul does it himself. Because of this act of disobedience, God decides to take the kingdom away from Saul and give it to a different king, setting the stage for the greatest king in Isarel’s history.
Students will be reminded that when we rely on our own strength in life, it always ends in failure for us. Only by relying on God and His power can we walk in victory through this life.
As always, here is the Parent Connect page and the weekly devotional!
Wednesday Night Hangouts
Join us for casual Wednesday night hangouts from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the youth room! We’ll have games, fun, and time to relax together. If the weather’s nice, we’ll head outside for gaga ball, kickball, frisbee, and maybe a bonfire. If it’s not, we’ll keep the fun going indoors with cards, video games, and more. Bring a friend and come hang out—we’d love to see you there!
High School Bonfires

All students who will be in high school this fall are welcome to join us on Sunday nights from 6 – 8 p.m. at Oakwood for High School Bonfires. These nights will be laid-back and fun—a chance to hang out, roast s'mores, play games, and build deeper connections with one another.
Invite your friends and come ready for a great time around the fire!
*If anyone would be open to hosting one of these events at your home, please feel free to reach out and let me know!*
Game Night
On Friday June 20 from 5 - 9 p.m., we will be having a game night at Oakwood. Bring your favorite board games and card games and come ready to have fun. We will provide snacks and drinks.
True North Kid’s Camp – CITs Needed!
Is your student looking for a fun and meaningful way to serve this summer? We have the perfect opportunity! True North Kid’s Camp is happening on July 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we’re looking for middle school and high school students to step up as CITs (Counselors in Training). CITs will help lead games, songs, special activities, and more—making it an exciting way to serve younger kids and grow as leaders. Lunch and snacks will be provided for all student volunteers.
CIT applications are available in the High School Room or can be picked up from and returned to Pastor Caleb. Please return them to me ASAP!
Middle School Gatherings

The final middle school gathering before summer is happening at the Feder’s on Friday, June 6, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for our middle school students to build relationships, have fun, and ask great spiritual questions. Food and snacks will be provided.
Join the Worship Team!
This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!
- Calling All Singers: Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me at . We’d love to have them join the team!
- Musicians Welcome: We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
