Kids: Week of March 9, 2026

by Ashley Schmidt on March 09, 2026

Wednesday, March 11

Welcome to Disciple Me, Minion style! We are excited to kick off this fun series. This Wednesday we are hosting "Minions and Munchies." We'll be watching the Minion movie and enjoying pizza together. Come in your comfy pajamas and bring a blanket or stuffed animal.

Sunday, March 15

Watching the kids worship Jesus in large group is one of our favorite things to do on Sunday morning. Kids will be learning from Nehemiah 7-13 when God's people worship Him! His people remembered all He had done, and they promised to be faithful. God is gracious and compassionate. All along, God has been faithful to people who are unfaithful. We experience God's grace and compassion in Jesus, who gave His life so we can receive mercy and life forever. It's easy to thank God for the same things over and over. This week, try thanking Him for something new! Challenge your child to thank God for one new things for each year of their age. So, if your child is 6, that's 6 new things to thank God for!

Kids Baptism Class

Register by Wednesday, March 11 for the Gospel and Baptism for Kids class, which is this Sunday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. Parents should attend class with their child. Sign up here!

Offering Update
It's very likely that we won't meet our lofty goal of $400 -- but the kids (and us adults) shouldn't be discouraged! It really isn't only about the end goal, the project is also about being faithful to God in giving and in prayer. Moses is a great example of that. He didn't reach the promise land, but his faithfulness to the Lord still pleased God and God used Moses' work. God's plan was so much bigger than just one human -- just like Miss Shirley's trip to Egypt is so much more than just her (and Mr Dave) going, or just our offering.
Sunday's offering was $10.23, which brings the total to  $292.81.
