Deepen the Connections that Matter

Summer naturally has a different rhythm to it. The calendar slows, routines loosen, and many of us instinctively unplug from some things so we can more deeply plug into others. This July, we want to maximize that rhythm with intention.

Reconnect is a three-week journey designed to help us deepen our connection with God, with one another, and with the purpose God has placed on our lives. As part of this series, our whole church will participate in a 21-day social media fast as a way to clear space from something that often fuels distraction, outrage, and isolation. 

Social Media Fast

From July 21 - Aug. 2, we are encouraging everyone to completely step away from social media. If you're not on social media, consider what's distracting you from connecting to God and others. Perhaps it's the news or another form of media. Whatever it is, we encourage you to take a break and enjoy connection and community the way God designed it.

To foster connection, Oakwood is hosting two special events during Reconnect: 

Take a Table Tent

Grab a table tent from the resource tables in the Worship Center or in the office. Fold it and place it on your table as a reminder throughout the series. It has information about the series, as well as weekly prompts based on the focus each week.
