This Sunday – Jonah
This Sunday we are digging into a biblical account that may be familiar to a lot of students: the story of Jonah. Our main takeaway this week is that no one is outside of God’s reach. Students will be encouraged to share the gospel, even with those who seem like they would be too far gone.
Here are the family connection page and daily devotional.
Wednesday Night
6:30 - 8 p.m.
Throughout the school year, we will be teaching a series of one-week lessons called "Tough Talks," where we will help our students engage with some of the more challenging teachings from the Bible. This week, we will be teaching a Tough Talk called “Where Is God When I Feel Overwhelmed?,” which will look at Jesus’ teaching on worry found in Matthew 6:25-34.
Here’s a brief overview of what we’ll be covering to help you know how to engage with the material at home:
Session 1: Where is God When I Feel Overwhelmed?
Big Idea: We can trust God with our worries.
Question for Discussion: What are some "tomorrow" worries that tend to distract you from what's happening today?
Districts Youth Conference
Districts registration is now open! Districts is the annual youth conference put on by the EFCA Forest Lakes District in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This coming year it's Jan. 9 - 11, 2026. This is an amazing weekend filled with moving worship, challenging speakers, and great bonding as a group. I would highly encourage your students to attend.
Student Leadership Team
Our high school leadership team is kicking off on Sunday, Oct.19 during our second service at 10:30 a.m. in the THRIVE room. We will be starting our study on leadership, assigning jobs, and even naming the team. If your student hasn’t completed their application, please have them bring it with them.
