by Caleb Garnett on October 21, 2024

Sunday Morning Programming
This Sunday, Oct. 27, student programming takes place during our 9 a.m. service. We will be continuing through “The Thread” series this week with a focus on the early church from Acts 2:42-47. You can find a parent letter here for more information.
Wednesday Night Community
Wednesday night student programming runs from 6:30 – 8 p.m. This is a chance for your student to build relationships with peers and leaders, hear a message from God’s Word, and of course have lots of fun!
We will be continuing our series this week called “Who am I?” This series is all about our identity in Christ. Students will be discovering who God says they are, and why they should place their identity and worth in Him. This week, we will be discussing how we were once sinners, but we are now saved by grace. Our main scripture for this week will be Ephesians 2:1-10. Here is a parent letter with more information.
Districts
Parents of High School students, Districts Youth Conference in Green Bay, WI, is quickly approaching, taking place Jan. 10-12, 2025. This year’s theme is “Come Hear Some Good News.” This event is a fantastic opportunity for our students to deepen their faith, worship with their peers, and strengthen their relationships within our community.
Registration is open now! The deadline for registration has been extended until Nov. 1. You can register for Districts here. The cost is $75 per student. You can also visit the Districts website here. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We’re looking forward to a transformative experience for all who attend.
Mission Trip
Oakwood Student Ministry is participating in next year’s Mexico mission trip! There will be informational meetings held at 10:30 a.m. and 12p.m.  Sunday, Oct. 27 and the following week, Nov. 3.
