Students: Week of Oct. 20, 2025

by Caleb Garnett on October 20, 2025

This Sunday – Worthless Idols
This Sunday, as we continue our journey through scripture, we come to 2 Kings 17, where Israel is finally taken into captivity. God drives them out of their land at the hand of the Assyrians after years of ignoring the prophets and continuing in idolatry and sin. Our students will be reminded that when we listen to God’s voice, we can avoid many painful consequences in our own lives.
Wednesday Night
6:30 - 8 p.m.
Our current Wednesday Night Community series is titled "Masks." This series delves into the topic of identity, exploring the masks we often wear to fit in or to hide our true selves.

Series Overview
Masks is a three-week journey that will challenge our students to reflect on their true identity in Christ and the freedom that comes from being genuine:

  • Session 2: I'm Fine
    • Big Idea: We don’t have to disguise our weaknesses because God’s grace and power are at work in us.
    • Question for Discussion: Why do you think it's challenging for us to admit when we're not okay?
Middle School Gatherings
Middle school gatherings are back! The next hangout is on Friday, Nov. 7, at Pat and Jeanene Feder's home from 6:30 - 8 p.m. All students in grades 6-8 are invited. There will be food, games, and lots of fun! We hope to see you there!
