Students: Week of Oct. 13, 2025

by Caleb Garnett on October 13, 2025

This Sunday – Let Us Return to the Lord
This Sunday, we’ll be exploring a less commonly-read book, Hosea. God calls the prophet Hosea to marry an unfaithful wife, which seems strange at first, but this is how God illustrates how Israel has been unfaithful to Him. Hosea continually goes after her to bring her back to him. This is how God acts with the people of Israel, pursuing them even when they are unfaithful to him.
This is how God pursued us when he sent Jesus to the earth to restore our broken relationship through his death and resurrection.
Students will be challenged to think about how God pursued and still pursues them, even when they are unfaithful to him.
Wednesday Night
6:30 - 8 p.m.

New Series

I'm thrilled to introduce our upcoming teaching series for the youth group, titled "Masks." This series delves into the topic of identity, exploring the masks we often wear to fit in or to hide our true selves.

Series Overview
Masks is a three-week journey that will challenge our students to reflect on their true identity in Christ and the freedom that comes from being genuine:

  • Session 1: The Chameleon
    • Big Idea: We don't have to disguise our true selves because we belong to God, who loves and knows us completely.
    • Question for Discussion: Can you recall a time when you felt the need to act differently around certain people? How did that make you feel?
    • Key Passage: Galatians 5:11-14
Middle School Gatherings
Middle school gatherings are back! The next hangout is on Friday, Nov. 7, at Pat and Jeanene Feder's home from 6:30 - 8 p.m. All students in grades 6-8 are invited. There will be food, games, and lots of fun! We hope to see you there!
Student Leadership Team

Our high school leadership team is kicking off on Sunday, Oct.19 during our second service at 10:30 a.m. in the THRIVE room. We will be starting our study on leadership, assigning jobs, and even naming the team. If your student hasn’t completed their application, please have them bring it with them.
