This Sunday: Gideon Tests the Lord
As we continue our journey through the Bible, Israel is once again caught in a cycle of sin, suffering, and crying out for rescue. It’s in this moment that we meet Gideon, the sixth judge of Israel. God calls Gideon to lead His people to freedom, but Gideon isn’t convinced—he’s full of doubts and questions. Twice, he asks God for signs to prove He’ll keep His promise. And both times, God patiently responds.
But what happens next is even more surprising. As Gideon gathers an army to fight the enemy, God tells him there are too many soldiers. Why? Because if Israel wins with a big army, they might take credit for the victory. So God drastically reduces their numbers—from 32,000 to just 300—making it clear that the only way they’ll win is through His power, not their strength.
Gideon’s story is a powerful reminder that God isn’t looking for the strongest, the boldest, or those who have it all together. He’s looking for people who will trust Him. Even when we feel weak or unsure, God can work through us—and sometimes, He intentionally puts us in situations where it’s obvious that only He could bring the victory. That way, our confidence isn’t in ourselves but in Him.
Come this Sunday ready to explore how God shows His strength through our weakness—and how He still uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things for His glory.
Wednesday Night Community
We’re in Week 3 of our series, “Not Too Young.” As we grow up, there are plenty of moments when we feel like we’re not old enough to do something—whether it’s ordering at a restaurant, making our own appointments, or making big decisions. This week, we’re looking at someone in the Bible who felt the exact same way: Jeremiah.
When God called Jeremiah to speak to the entire nation of Israel, his first response was, “I’m too young.” He didn’t feel ready or qualified. But God reminded him that He would be with him every step of the way—and because of that, Jeremiah didn’t have to be afraid.
Students, the same God who called and equipped Jeremiah is the same God who walks with you. You don’t have to wait until you’re older to live out your faith, speak truth, or make a difference. God’s calling on your life doesn’t have an age requirement. If He’s with you, that’s enough.
Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that you’re not too young to be used by God in powerful ways—right now, right where you are.

Join the Worship Team!
This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!
Calling All Singers: Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me. We’d love to have them join the team!
Musicians Welcome: We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
