This Sunday – Illuminate
As we prepare for Christmas, we’ll be going through a three-week teaching series called “Illuminate.” Throughout this series, we’ll look at the special role that “light” plays in the Christmas story throughout history, including what it looks like for us to carry the Light of Jesus in our world today. We are in week two this week, and we hope your student joins us!
Wednesday Night Community
Wednesday Night Community resumes Jan. 14.
Christmas Party
Dec. 10 | 6 - 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, we will be gathering at Oakwood for a special Christmas Party. We will have food, games, festive music, a Christmas costume contest, and our white elephant gift exchange.
For the costume contest, dress up as your favorite Christmas character or put on your most festive outfit! There will be a prize for our winner.
For the gift exchange, the gifts can be a maximum of $15. The funnier the gift, the better.
Districts
We are a little over one month away from Districts! If you have a student attending, keep an eye out for more details as we get closer to Jan. 9.
Christmas Eve
On Dec. 24, Oakwood is having two identical, candle-lit services at 3 and 5 p.m. We would love to see all of our students with their families!
