This Sunday: Deborah Judges Israel
This Sunday, we continue our journey through the Book of Judges, focusing on
Judges 4:1-21. Throughout the book, the people of Israel fall into a familiar cycle: disobedience, repentance, and deliverance. Each time, God raises up a judge to rescue them, only for them to turn away from Him again. At this point in the story, Israel is under the oppression of the king of Canaan. God calls Barak to lead the fight for Israel’s deliverance. However, Barak insists he will only go if Deborah, the prophetess, goes with him. Deborah agrees, and Israel is ultimately saved—but the glory for the victory does not go to Barak. Instead, it goes to a woman, fulfilling Deborah's prophecy.
This week, students will be reminded that our obedience to God should never be conditional. When God calls us to act, we are called to respond with trust and faith, knowing that obedience always leads to His deliverance.
Wednesday Night Community
We’re in our last series of the school year, which we’re titling “Not Too Young.” This series will explore how many of the great leaders of the Bible were young people that God used to do incredible things. Students will be encouraged to see the truth that God can use them right here and now, and they don’t have to wait until the are “adults” to be used by God.
This week, we’ll dive into
2 Chronicles 34 and talk about the life of the greatest king the kingdom of Judah ever had: King Josiah. Before he was even 30 years old, Josiah led an entire nation back to God by purging idolatry, restoring the law and the festivals, and making a covenant to obey God. His life is an incredible example of a young person who didn’t let age stand in the way of God’s calling.
While students today may not have the influence of a king, they will be challenged to make a real difference in the world for God—right where they are.

Join the Worship Team!
This year, we’ve introduced a time of worship into our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings, and we’d love for your students to be involved!
Calling All Singers: Our most pressing need is for singers to help lead worship up front. If your student has a passion or talent for singing, please reach out to me. We’d love to have them join the team!
Musicians Welcome: We’re also looking for students who play instruments and want to use their talents to serve God through worship arts.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be part of this meaningful ministry. Together, we can make worship a powerful and impactful experience!
