Welcome to the season of first days of school, program kick offs, and forms.
Please complete the Child Consent Form for each child under 18 years old that will participate in any Oakwood activities. This form is valid for one year.
To help you prepare for the fall, here’s what Kid’s Ministry will look like beginning Sept.13.
During the 9 a.m. service, we’ll have full programming from birth through high school. We’re excited to continue using The Gospel Project, which helps kids and students explore the entire story of the Bible.
During the 10:30 a.m. service, we will not have kids programming. Instead, our Family Room will be available with toys, fidgets, Magna-Tiles, sensory headphones, coloring pages, and Kids Bulletins to give families a space where kids can move around and make a little noise while still participating in the service through the livestream.
We’re pressing pause on Kids 2.0 for now as we evaluate the ministry. We know it serves an important purpose, and we’re taking time to determine the best path forward. If these changes impact your family, we’d love to hear your feedback and talk it through with you.

WNC starts Sept. 16
We are so excited to welcome the kids back to WNC. We will continue to explore the Nature of God, with our Rainforest Falls theme! Each week, the kids will dive into God's word and hear how Our Father; knows them, loves them, and cares for them deeply!
Sunday, Sept. 13
We are so excited to welcome everyone back! Classrooms will be split again for the school year to (nursery, toddlers, preschool, K/1st, 2nd/3rd, and 4th/5th). Sunday, kids will learn from Matthew 13, Mark 4, and Luke 8 when Jesus teaches through parables – or short stories.
Fall Offering Project
Our Fall Offering Project: Operation Christmas Child!
The goal is to raise $400, which will cover the shipping costs to send 40 boxes filled with goodies—and the hope of Jesus—to 40 kids around the world! In past years, our boxes have made their way to places as far away as Zambia and Maui, and we’re excited to see where they go this year!
All monies collected through Nov. 15 will go towards covering the shipping costs. Kids will get to pack these boxes at our annual Packing Party on Nov. 18.
