Then stop by the Kids Ministry desk. Each week there will be new questions to answer or challenges to complete for families with kids in 3k-5th grade. Each entry will earn you a chance to win this Advent Nativity Calendar Building Block Set or other prizes. The drawing will be Nov. 25 and prizes can be collected at the Kids Ministry Desk starting Sunday, Nov. 30.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
This week we wrap up True North! Last week the kids had the opportunity to invite a friend to church with a sweet S’mores invite. Leaders also walked through our response cards with kids since the topic was about trusting in Jesus when we need hope. If your kiddo completed a card, Miss Sarah or I will connect with you.
Sunday, Nov. 2
In 2 Kings 18-19, Judah's good kings led the people to God and away from sin. Yet when they died, the people returned to their sinful ways. Jesus is our good King who died and rose again and always leads us to God and away from sin. Kids will learn that God is good, kind and loving to everyone. Kids will bring home a new Bible verse. Can you learn it together as a family?
Offering Update
Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
On the last night of Wednesday Night Community (Nov. 19 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.), kids will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. This annual tradition is open to any kids and friends who want to come pack boxes! While the kids are contributing to offering to cover the cost of shipping the boxes, Oakwood attenders are encouraged to purchase items from our wish list to fill the boxes. No registration is needed - simply bring your kids if they'd like to help!
Calling All Kid Crafters!
Oakwood Kids Ministry is hosting a vendor booth at the new Crescendo Christmas Market at Oakwood on Nov. 29. We're looking for Kid Crafters (teens included!) who are willing to donate their crafts to our booth. All of the profits will go to Royal Family Kids Camp - Hartland! We are looking for things like bracelets, sugar scrubs, candles, weaved/knit items, etc. All items must be donated to Oakwood for the purpose of this sale.
