Kids: Week of Oct. 21, 2024

by Ashley Schmidt on October 21, 2024

Wednesday, Oct. 23

The parable of the laborers in the vineyard shows a sweet reward - heaven - awaits everyone who trusts in Jesus. Kids will learn about the parable of the workers in the vineyard from Matthew 20:1-16 this week and enjoy some chocolate chip cookies to help them connect with this “sweet” parable.

Here is a video to share with your kids. Consider watching it with your child and asking, “have you chosen to accept Jesus, follow Him, and be a part of His family?”. If your child wants to, take some time together to read Romans 10:9-10 and maybe even us a prayer like the one below to accept and invite Jesus into their heart.

Sunday, Oct. 27

Kids will be in Genesis 12, 15 and 17 this week and will learn about God’s covenant with Abraham. “Covenant” is an important word throughout scripture. Parents, take some time this week to share the meaning of the word “covenant” with your kids; you can use this snip from the lesson to help.
