When we need help, we can TRUST IN JESUS! This is our theme for the last two weeks of True North WNC.
Friends are always welcome at Oakwood and WNC is a fun chance to bring a friend. As we learn about the Great Commission this week, kids will be making S’more trail mix; one for themselves and one to give to a friend as an invitation to Oakwood to learn s’more about Jesus. Please encourage your kids to invite someone in this sweet way.
Sunday, Oct. 26
This week we wrap up our unit about some of the prophets and the kingdom of Israel being destroyed by their sin. We all sin against God and deserve death, but God sent Jesus to die in our place.
Offering Update
Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
On the last night of Wednesday Night Community (Nov. 19 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.), kids will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. This annual tradition is open to any kids and friends who want to come pack boxes! While the kids are contributing to offering to cover the cost of shipping the boxes, Oakwood attenders are encouraged to purchase items from our wish list to fill the boxes. No registration is needed - simply bring your kids if they'd like to help!
Calling All Kid Crafters!
Oakwood Kids Ministry is hosting a vendor booth at the new Crescendo Christmas Market at Oakwood on Nov. 29. We're looking for Kid Crafters (teens included!) who are willing to donate their crafts to our booth. All of the profits will go to Royal Family Kids Camp - Hartland! We are looking for things like bracelets, sugar scrubs, candles, weaved/knit items, etc. All items must be donated to Oakwood for the purpose of this sale.
