We are continuing our True North theme of trusting Jesus when we need hope. This week will also be part 1 of a 2-week project in our activity rotation and we hope you can make it! If you miss week 1, come next week anyway; our team will catch you up!
Sunday, Oct. 19
In large group, the 2nd graders will be gifted their own Kids Bible. This is a special time for these kids as their reading skills and curiosity are blooming. Miss Shirley and Miss Julie (and the WNC team) are intentionally teaching the 2nd graders how to read their Bible – which is a 2nd grade Bible Basic. This includes how to find the books, chapters, and verses in the Bible. After this, kids will continue to learn about prophets by exploring the Book of Hosea.
Baptism Class
Sunday, Oct. 19 | 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. | REGISTER BY THURSDAY
This interactive parent and child class is geared towards 2nd-5th graders, but all are welcome if you want to learn more about baptism or are considering being baptized at Oakwood’s next baptism service on Sunday, Nov. 16. Registration is required by Thursday!
Offering Update
Calling All Kid Crafters!
Oakwood Kids Ministry is hosting a vendor booth at the new Crescendo Christmas Market at Oakwood on Nov. 29. We're looking for Kid Crafters (teens included!) who are willing to donate their crafts to our booth. All of the profits will go to Royal Family Kids Camp - Hartland! We are looking for things like bracelets, sugar scrubs, candles, weaved/knit items, etc. All items must be donated to Oakwood for the purpose of this sale.
