Kids: Week of Nov. 10, 2025

Hello, Fellow Oakwood Families! 

Don’t forget to stop by the Kids Check In area each week to enter to win this Nativity Building Brick Advent Calendar or a hardcover copy of God Gave Us Christmas! There are new chances to enter each Sunday. Kids can guess the number of little sheep this week and parents are encouraged to get involved too! The code word this week is “SHEEP.” 

There are free Family Gratitude Calendars at the Family Life Resource Board. They are a fun and simple way to keep your heart focused on Him during the month of Thanksgiving. 

Wednesday, Nov. 12
This is the last week for the "Thanks a Lot" series. The kids learned about Job last week and the struggles he faced in his life. We also got to read how Job always chose to praise God in the midst of his pain. As we finish up our mini series, the kids will focus on the blessings in Job's life, and their own!  
Next week will be our last Wednesday night for 2025. We will be hosting the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party. The kids will be packing the boxes will donations we received and coloring pictures to go in the boxes. This is a great time for kids to serve during the season of giving! 
Sunday, Nov. 16 
When we trust in Jesus, we are restored to a right relationship with God. This week kids will see when this happed in Micha, Nahum, Habakkuk and Zephaniah when God sent prophets to warn His people of their sin. 
If your child (or you even) have made the decision to follow Jesus and have asked for His forgiveness and want to take the next step of baptism, there is a baptism THIS SUNDAY that you can be a part of. Email Ashley or Matthew if you want to participate. 
Offering Update 
There are three Sundays left for the Operation Christmas Child offering project. Our goal is to ship 40 boxes of gifts and the gospel around the world to kids in need. Our offering projects are so much more than money - they are about praying for and serving others, and our kids are amazing at it!

More About Ashley

Ashley is often on the go! She’s a mom to two busy kids and a high energy dog, she volunteers with her kids’ Parent Teacher Organization, and she enjoys hosting family dinners on Sundays. While the quiet at her family’s cabin draws her to northern Wisconsin often, she likes to travel and see God’s creation with her husband and kiddos. In her spare time (what’s that?!), Ashley enjoys baking and cake decorating, and learning new photography skills. Of course, a good cup of coffee fuels all of this activity and fun!
