Kids: Week of June 8, 2026

by Ashley Schmidt on June 08, 2026

Remember, kids are new in their new classes and grades!

Sunday, June 8

We are continuing learning about the life and ministry of Jesus. Try out these review questions with all your kids this week. All kids in preschool - 12th grade use The Gospel Project on Sundays at Oakwood, so they are learning the same things each week but in age-appropriate ways.

Baptism Class

If your child is interested in baptism, register for the next Baptism Class on Sunday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m.

Summer Offering Project

Again this summer, Oakwood kids get to bless campers attending Royal Family Kids Camp with our prayers and offering project. The offering project will go towards purchasing a water bottle for each camper to decorate with Scripture and keep. In the first week of this offering project, kids already put a huge drop in the bucket!

Popsicle Pop Ups

Miss Sarah and I will be hosting three Popsicle Pop Ups throughout the summer on the 15th of each month. The time and place will "pop up" later, so check the Family Life Facebook page if you want to know when and where. I encourage all families to engage relationally outside the building and foster a culture of invitation, presence, and hospitality.

Take a grab-and-go outreach kit to host a simple, relational pop-up in the community! They're in the freezer in the Cafe pantry.
