Can you imagine being chosen as one of the first disciples? What a humbling, and probably intimidating, ask! Jesus is still asking us to do as the disciples did – He is asking us to follow him.
Offering Update
As a reminder, this summer, Oakwood kids get to bless campers attending Royal Family Kids Camp with our prayers and offering project. The offering project will go towards purchasing a water bottle for each camper to decorate with scriptures and keep.
Kids Reconnect Challenge
Pastor Matthew is challenging the church to a social media fast to reconnect with others and more importantly with God. Kids might not have social media, but they do have oodles of screen time! How is your child doing with this challenge?
Printed copies are available at the Family Life Resource Board and I am happy to offer more suggestions! Show Miss Ashley or Miss Sarah your completed challenge for a special treat on Aug. 2 or Aug. 9.
Rainforest Falls Kids Summer Day Camp
There is still time to register for camp for elementary aged kids. Preschool camp is full! And remember, you can bring a friend for free!
Training
CIT & Volunteers will be getting together on Sunday, July 19 to practice worship songs and get ready for what God has planned through camp.
- 11:30 a.m. | CIT Training
- Noon | CITs and adult volunteers from Oakwood and Grace Church eat lunch (which is provided)
- 12:15 -1 p.m. | Adult Volunteer Training
