Hello Fellow Oakwood Families!
Advent is a season of preparation and reflection that is celebrated for four weeks leading up to Christmas. How will you slow down and prepare for the true meaning of Christmas?
If you are looking for ways, please check out the Family Life Resource Board for a free Family Advent Devotion set of cards or by our annual Mobil Christmas Library to borrow a Christmas book, DVD, or CD.
Sunday, Dec. 21
Jesus is born. The prophecies are fulfilled! On Sunday kids will celebrate the new-born King!
Kids will be performing their Mini-Christmas-Pageant on Sunday during both services. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early and consider allowing your child to stay until about 10:50 this day so they can perform both services.
Toddlers – preschoolers will be our “costumed” kids, kindergarten – 5th graders will be our choir, and a few brave 4th and 5th graders are also reading as narrators. No additional practices or special costumes are needed.
