9th - 12th grade: Week of May 30, 2022

by Myles Hanson on May 31, 2022

This week is Nicole and I's final week in Wisconsin. Our apartment is already all packed up and moved to Minnesota and we're here to close out the school year with your students. We've enjoyed our time at Oakwood doing ministry alongside you and the Small Group Leaders with your kids, thank you for sharing them with us!

JUNE 1| 6:30 PM

Wednesday night, 6:30 - 8:00pm, is our last shindig with the youth group. We're inviting both the middle and high school groups to hang out around the campfire for s'mores, stories of goal completion, and celebrating our 8th grade and senior classes who are moving on to their next phase of life. I'll bring the s'mores, your student just needs to bring themselves and, if they'd like, a story of a goal they accomplished over this school year.

At 7:45pm we're going to invite the entire church to join the campfire to share stories and memories of their time with Nicole and I. I hear there will be some desserts to share as well. We would really love to have you and your family join us for this last time together before our move. Sign up here. See you there!

JUNE 5 | 9 & 10:30 AM

And Sunday morning is Grad Sunday. There will be no student programming as this is a Sunday to celebrate our 8th grade, high school senior, and college graduates! Have your student join the 9am or 10:30am service and I'll see them all there!

Sunday morning programming will resume on June 12th in the High School Room. The students will be working through lots of Psalm passages and discussing emotions expressed in those Psalms.

And that'll do it! It has been a blessing and honor to be a part of you and your family's lives over the years. Thank you for everything and I hope our paths will cross again soon!
