About Gery

Treffen sie Gery Sawall! German was Gery’s first language given that he’s the son of German immigrants. He’s grateful that believers raised him and he accepted Jesus in his heart when he was 7 years old. Gery (pronounced like Gary) has come a long way since then, spending his childhood studying the Word at Bible camp, becoming a pediatric doctor and raising four sons with his wife Laurie. Having been involved in church his whole life, Gery enjoys participating in Oakwood’s men’s events and serving on the music, medical and greeting teams. His two grandchildren (so far) bring him and Laurie great joy, as do books, boats and water.
