This Sunday – Faithful to the Lord
Lately we have been focusing on Israel’s unfaithfulness to God. This week we will look at some of the faithful kings of Israel: Hezekiah and Josiah. Even though they grew up surrounded by wickedness, they did not let that define them. Instead, they chose to turn back to God and be faithful to Him. Students will be encouraged to not let the culture and situations in which they find themselves to define who they are, but God alone.

Current Series
Our current teaching series at THRIVE is called "Masks." This series delves into the topic of identity, exploring the masks we often wear to fit in or to hide our true selves.
Series Overview
Masks is a three-week journey that will challenge our students to reflect on their true identity in Christ and the freedom that comes from being genuine.
- Session 3: Labels
- Big Idea: We can stop judging others because we’ve experienced God’s love and forgiveness.
- Question for Discussion: How can we remind ourselves to see others through the lens of God's love and not by the labels society places on them?
Middle School Gatherings
Middle school gatherings are back! The next hangout will be next Friday, Nov. 7 at Pat and Jeanene Feder's home from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. All students in grades 6-8 are invited. There will be food, games, and lots of fun! We hope to see you there!
Friendsgiving
On Sunday, Nov. 16 from 6 - 8 p.m., we will be gathering at the Penebaker’s home for our annual Friendsgiving event. Turkey will be provided, but we are asking students to bring a side to pass (stuffing, potatoes, rolls, dessert etc.). We hope to see all of your students there!
Student Leadership Team
Our next meeting for our Student Leadership Team will be on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m., during second service. As a reminder, please have your student bring back their completed homework, and some ideas for a name for our new team.
Districts
If your high school student is still interested in attending Districts Youth Conference, registration is still open until Nov. 10. Register here. The conference is Jan. 9 - 11, 2026, and the cost is $75.
