Week of May 3, 2021 for 9th-12th Grade

by Myles Hanson on May 04, 2021

Hello everyone!

WEDNESDAY, MAY 5 | 8-9 PM
I'm excited for our high school meeting on Wednesday night, we're going to look at the four Gospels on a timeline. There are stories that we can gain a bigger perspective on because of when those stories happened and the events surrounding them. This also gets into the conversation about the purpose of the Gospels and the writers behind them. Be sure to ask your student about this complicated subject, it's very interesting and we're going to have a fun time breaking it down!
SUNDAY, MAY 9 | 9-10 AM
Sunday morning we're going to be doing Bible study in 2 Timothy chapter 2. We'll be looking for how we love God, love others, and Timothy's disciplemaking journey shown throughout the book. This time together has been encouraging for myself and the group leaders, what a simple and effective premise: to open up Scripture with students and talk about it.

SUNDAY, MAY 9 | 6-7:30 PM
Sunday night is "Seconds" and this time we're doing a "Stump Myles" night. Your student can bring any questions they'd like to bring up and we'll have an open discussion about it together. There will be pizza served for those in attendance! We'll be in the high school room from 6:00 - 7:30, see your student there.

SUNDAY, JUNE 6 | 9 & 10:30 AM
Just want to queue everyone up for June 6th, a special Sunday morning at Oakwood - Graduation Sunday! We'll be celebrating the high school seniors graduating and moving on to their next phase in life. I'll be preaching a sermon aimed for them, we'd love to have your family join us to celebrate them! See you there!

And that'll do it for this week! Looking forward to some fun time together with your students.
