Week of May 3, 2021 for 6th - 8th Grade

by Myles Hanson on May 04, 2021

Hello everyone!

WEDNESDAY, MAY 5 | 6-8:30 PM
The last few weeks we've been looking at some messy families in Scripture. Joseph and his hateful brothers, David and his mistakes with Bathsheeba, and all the consequences that came about from these family situations. And yet, God was faithful, loving, and forgiving in each of the situations. This week we're going to look at a few smaller stories and end our time in prayer for our families. We're searching the heart of God and what He wants for our families in tough times.
SUNDAY, MAY 9 | 9-10 AM

Sunday morning we're going to be doing Bible study in 2 Timothy chapter 2. We'll be looking for how we love God, love others, and Timothy's disciplemaking journey shown throughout the book. This time together has been encouraging for myself and the group leaders, what a simple and effective premise: to open up Scripture with students and talk about it.

FRIDAY, MAY 21 | 6:30-8:30 PM
On May 21st we're going to Ingleside Water Park! We're going to have some fun in the water and have time to meet the 5th graders who are moving into middle school next month. We'd love to have you student join us for a great time and new friendships! Sign up online then meet us at Ingleside from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Cost is $18/student!
And that'll do it for this week! Looking forward to some fun time together with your students.
