Kids: Week of Sept. 26, 2022

Hello Fellow Oakwood Parents!

This week we are wrapping up our first unit in Kings on Idolatry: We Are to Worship God Alone. Did any of your kids get that snazzy tune stuck in your head? 

Here is what is going on this week:

Each child needs an updated consent form each year. If you haven’t already, please complete it. Paper copies are also available at the Kids Ministry desk.

Fire Drill | Sunday, Oct. 2 | 9:20-9:30 & 10:50-11
October is Fire Safety Month and Kids Ministry will be having a fire drill this Sunday, weather pending. This will be a non-threatening way for our leaders and our kids to practice what to do in case of a fire. 

Sunday Kids Programming | 9 a.m. | Birth – 5th grade 


Sunday Kids Small Group | 10:30 a.m. | Birth – Kindergarten  

  • New this fall! Play, sing, learn and pray for others!
  • Drop off and pick up at Room 221 for 3k-5k

Wednesday Night Community | 6:30-8 p.m. | Birth – 5th grade 

  • HELP!! Adult volunteers are still needed for WNC. Email Ashley for more information.

More About Ashley

Ashley is often on the go! She’s a mom to two busy kids and a high energy dog, she volunteers with her kids’ Parent Teacher Organization, and she enjoys hosting family dinners on Sundays. While the quiet at her family’s cabin draws her to northern Wisconsin often, she likes to travel and see God’s creation with her husband and kiddos. In her spare time (what’s that?!), Ashley enjoys baking and cake decorating, and learning new photography skills. Of course, a good cup of coffee fuels all of this activity and fun!
