Wednesday Night Community // Spring 2018

Posted by on

WNC is designed for this time and this place...

for us to connect in meaningful ways with each other and with Jesus, to make a difference in the lives of others, to focus anew on the call to love God, love others and make disciples.

Trimester 3  -Wednesday, March 4, through Wednesday, May 2

Weekly table fellowship at The Café, followed by on-site small groups for all ages: intentional spaces where together we are transforming. in community. on mission.

We can’t wait to see the “immeasurably more” our God has in store this year!

The Café

A great way to get to know others in our church community and enjoy freshly-crafted pizzas, milkshakes and specialty coffees, as well as other tasty seasonal offerings. Incredibly reasonable prices…invaluable time together. Major credit cards accepted.

For Kids

Preschoolers (ages 3-K) and elementary kids (1st -4th graders) connect in an interactive setting: a space where they can develop healthy, nurturing relationships with other kids their age, with caring adults and with God. In small groups, they’ll apply biblical truths in attention-grabbing activities/service projects. We’re energizing the next generation to love God, love others and make disciples! NOTE: Nursery care is provided for parents attending an on-site small group.

For Quest56

With a high-energy format that includes activities and prayer, the 5th and 6th grade students will be focused on serving and growing in Jesus as we meet in meaningful small groups alongside peers and mentors.

For Students

Jr High | We’ll begin the trimester in 1 John, followed by a small group video project focused on reviewing all that God’s done and taught us this past year.

Sr. High | The trimester kicks off with The Bible Project’s “Wisdom” series, discovering the theme of biblical wisdom through “the fear of the Lord,” living well in the tensions of life, and how God runs the world by wisdom. We’ll then continue the exploration with an in-house devotional based on that same series.

For Men

33 The Series (Vol 4): A Man and His Work | Work and career play a major role in the life of every man. This volume begins by recognizing the obstacles that men can experience in their work-lives and then unfolds a process that helps men move beyond the conventional perspective of work that can lead to frustration. It draws them to a bigger, biblical vision of work that goes back to God's original intentions. Highly recommended for men who seek biblical community.

For Women

The Son of David: Seeing Jesus in the Historical Books | Studying the Covenant Historical books in the Old Testament, this DVD series by Nancy Guthrie traces incredible pictures of Jesus our true King as the greater Joshua, the greater Boaz, the greater King who will sit on David’s throne forever, the greater Wisdom than Solomon. Together, we’ll gain a fresh perspective on God’s Kingdom and a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture! Highly recommended if you want a deeper love for Jesus. Suggested study guide donation is $15.

For Adults

The Teaching Genius of Jesus | The best way to strengthen the way you lead and teach (whether a small group, Sunday School, or within your home) is to sit at the feet of the greatest Teacher in the history of the world—Jesus! In The Teaching Genius of Jesus, you'll explore how you—and each person who serves with you—can become a P-E-A-C-H of a teacher...utilizing Preparation, Engagement, Authenticity, Challenge and Heart. Highly recommended for anyone who leads anyone. Suggested book donation is $15

S.H.A.P.E.: Finding & Fulfilling Your Unique Purpose for Life | Discover how God has designed you, and see how that fits the intention for which you were created. In his DVD series, Erik Rees unpacks for you the five elements of God’s blueprints for creating you, bringing clarity to your future goals and showing you how to have the most fulfilling life possible – a life lived for God’s purposes, by God’s design. Highly recommended for those figuring out how to serve. Suggested study guide donation is $9.

Please note: To ensure optimal community, each on-site small group can sometimes reach its maximum capacity for the trimester. Please register in advance online HERE.
