Why should I join a small group?
As we read the New Testament, it doesn’t take long to discover that the local church is to be characterized by authentic community. We are not called to live lives of isolation, but rather lives that demonstrate our love for one another. We long for relationships where we can keep it real, care for each other, grow as followers of Jesus, and where we can enjoy the journey together. Oakwood's small groups are designed to help you be about transformation. in community. on mission.
In-home small groups meet regularly throughout the school year. Each group decides its own study or ministry adventure. Click here to find an In-Home Small Group to join (those that are "at capacity" are not listed).
On-site groups are offered on a trimester basis at Wednesday Night Community, meeting during the school year. Wednesday Night Community has something for every age.
Our weekly women’s small groups take place in homes, local coffee shops, or here at Oakwood. These groups are intentionally designed to be informal, small-setting groups as they “do life together,” build authentic relationships, and learn from God’s Word how to live as disciples of Jesus. Bottom line: we’re about transformation. in community. on mission.
